Integrate HiConversion with Magento

Activation Steps – Magento 1

Before you start…

1. Create HiConversion Account (If you do not have your HiConversion Account already, please sign up.)

2. Get your Site ID

3. Copy your Site ID from the Site Settings page in your account. You can access it by using the dot menu or by clicking your site name in the upper right.

4. Download HiConversion’s Magento Extension Package File

Connector Activation Steps

No programming required. Just follow the steps below.

Note: To activate your connector, you must have admin access to your Magento storefront management console.

1. Log in to Magento Admin Panel

2. Disable Cache Management

System > Cache Management

Select Disable from dropdown and click Submit.

3. Disable Compilation

System > Tools  > Compilation

Note: Compiler Status should change to disabled.

4. Magento Connect Installation Manager

System > Magento Connect > Magento Connect Manager

Select the package file.

Click Upload.

Click Refresh on the bottom of the installation page.

5. Log out from the Magento Admin Panel and log in again.

Make sure you return to Admin Panel from Magento Connect Manager and logout.

6. Enable Cache Management

System > Cache Management

Select Enable from the dropdown options and click Submit.

7. Configuration

System > Configuration > HiConversion > Settings

On the left-hand side, scroll down to HICONVERSION and click Settings.

On the next screen, insert your HiConversion Site ID and click Save Config.

If you don’t have a Site ID, sign up here.

Activation Steps – Magento 2

Before you start…

1. Create HiConversion Account

If you do not have your HiConversion Account already, please sign up.

2. Get your Site ID

Copy your Site ID from the Site Settings page in your account. You can access it by using the dot menu or by clicking your site name in the upper right.

 

Extension Installation via Composer (preferred)

  1. Install Composer for Magento 2, If you have not already, click here to download.
  2. After installing, run composer require hiconversion/module-integration within composer.
  3. Run the command php bin/magento module:enable Hic_Integration in Magento root. This will let Magento know about the module.
  4. Run the command php bin/magento setup:upgrade in Magento root. This will ensure any installer scripts we may have are executed properly and store the current data version.
  5. Run the command php bin/magento setup:di:compile if you have a single website and store, or php bin/magento setup:di:compile-multi-tenant if you have multiple.
  6. Clear cache from Magento admin panel.
  7. Follow Configuration instruction located at the end of the page or click here.

 

Extension Installation via FTP

Download HiConversion’s Magento Extension Package File:

Unzip the file you downloaded above.

  1. Make sure to create the directory structure in your Magento – Magento_Root/app/code/Hic/Integration
  2. Drop/move all of the content inside the unzipped folder to directory Magento_Root/app/code/Hic/Integration on FTP.
  3. Run the command php bin/magento module:enable Hic_Integration in Magento root. This will let Magento know about the module.
  4. Run the command php bin/magento setup:upgrade in Magento root. This will ensure any installer scripts we may have are executed properly and store the current data version.
  5. Run the command php bin/magento setup:di:compile if you have a single website and store, or php bin/magento setup:di:compile-multi-tenant if you have multiple ones.
  6. Clear cache from Magento admin

 

Configuration

In the admin panel of your Magento 2 Installation, go to Stores > Configuration

Select the Store you want to configure.

Select the HiConversion Configuration section tab on the left. In the next screen, insert your HiConversion Site ID and click Save Config.

(Make note of which Store View you are under at the top if you are running a multi-tenant setup.)

Test Connector
